BikeBoy was shot w/a pellet gun tonight...

He bike commutes often between our house and the office (maybe 12 miles, one way). He was about 2 miles from home tonight and a car w/teens in it passed him on the parkway (it's a 55 mph zone) and the passenger leaned out and fired shots at BikeBoy. He got hit by 5 or 6 in his butt, leg, and arm. He is okay just has some good sized welts...thank goodness they weren't using bullets or aiming for his head/eyes. He didn't get their plate number but I told him he needs to report it to the police in the a.m. anyway...he can at least give a basic description of the car and maybe the police can keep a lookout that it might happen to someone else.I was worried as he was supposed to be home to go w/Munchkin and me to her spring concert and had called to tell me he'd be home around 6:15...we waited until 6:30 and had to go...I had a feeling something happened and I hated to leave. He really was fine, though, and still made it in time for the show. It just sucks, sometimes, this weird world in which we live. I'm just so thankful tonight. So very thankful.
